If nothing else works check petcock gas flow. Have to adjust valve a little counter clockwise. When I took off the main petcock tube and had it in position "on" no flow until I turned valve a little counter clockwise. Even notice an idle difference when bike is at a stop and I put petcock valve to "on". Runs rough starving it of fuel. I was on the highway and the bike choked out and finally went dead. If you notice while riding a choking and then when you bear down on the accelerator it comes back to life I'd really check out the petcock. I will eventually replace.
